31/08/2013 – Rabbits team update

After a month long wait, the Rabbits team has been promoted to Section C of the Huddersfield Halifax Rabbits Golf Association league. The team finished as section winners by a 4 point margin ahead of Todmorden who will join us in Section C. The teams will be joined next season by Outlane, Willow Valley and either Longley Park or Marsden.

Congratulations to Rabbit Captain Tom McGarrell who led the team in all of the fixtures and all the club members who played in the matches.

Membership Medal
The signing up sheet for the Membership Medal is now up in the locker room. Members wishing to take place have until 5pm on 13th September to sign up.

04/08/2013 – Back to back promotions for Handicap Team

Many frantic texts and phone calls were made before it was common knowledge that due to our superior away points BPGC Handicap team are now promoted as Champions of Division 2. This means that we have achieved back to back promotions and built on the excellent work of Michael Waddingtons teams success of 2012.

Well done to all team members of Ollie Barstow, Steve Brooke, Chris Green, Barrie Martin, Jake Ross, Roy Suddick, Steve Turner, Gary Ward and Trevor Williams for all of your effort throughout the season and particular congratulations to Ollie Barstow who ended the season undefeated in all games.

01/08/2013 – Bradley Hall Junior Open

Following the recent news relating to the success of BPGC members in the district, it is fantastic to be able to bring you details of another success, this time by one of our juniors.

Wednesday 31st July saw the Bradley Hall Junior Open being played on possible the worst day of the summer so far. However this did not cause Ben Kaye too many problems as he shot a net 68 to come a very creditable 2nd out of 30, to Outlane junior Jack Bates’ net 65, who can be seen with Ben and the Bradley Hall Captain below.
